I'm Laura, the face (and slightly chaotic creative mind!) behind everything you'll find here.

​

Not too long ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—I left the corporate world to follow something that had always made me happiest: creating. It was a huge leap of faith, swapping meetings and spreadsheets for paint, printers, glitter, tiny tools and endless ideas, but I've never looked back. Every day I get to wake up and do something I genuinely love, and that's something I'll never take for granted.

The name Rosemae Makes is incredibly special to me. It's a combination of the middle names of the two favourite girls in my life—my daughters. They inspire me every single day and are the reason I had the courage to chase this dream. Building a business they can be proud of means more to me than I could ever put into words.

​

You'll usually find me tucked away in my tiny little shop inside The Old Kent Market in Margate, Kent, four days a week. It's a colourful little space filled with handmade gifts, personalised keepsakes, home décor and plenty of things designed simply to make people smile. On my days away from the shop, I'm back in my home studio, surrounded by printers, paints, ideas and half-finished projects as I create new designs and prepare your orders.

I love making all sorts of handmade creations, but if I had to choose a favourite, it would always be miniatures. I've been fascinated by tiny things for as long as I can remember, and what started as a childhood obsession has never really gone away! My studio walls and shelves are filled with hundreds of miniature treasures, and I'm always dreaming up new tiny creations to add to the collection. There's just something magical about creating an entire world in miniature.

When I'm not making things, life revolves around my wonderful family. I have two gorgeous female Maltipoos who are never too far away from my feet, a wonderfully supportive husband who has encouraged me every step of this journey, and two amazing daughters who inspire everything I do.

​

I also love travelling, getting lost in a good book, and spending time by the sea—one of the many reasons I love calling Margate home. There's something about the coast that sparks creativity and reminds me to slow down and appreciate life's little moments.

​
